The majority of medically compromised patients need good oral health; hence a working knowledge of the multitude of conditions is essential for dental professionals. The curriculum during the III year of BDS includes training in General Medicine. The students acquire knowledge and skills by clinical exposure in cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, endocrinal, metabolic, renal diseases and blood disorders.
