OVERVIEW
Our Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge at Rajas Dental College is a well-equipped centre for comprehensive prosthetic rehabilitation, offering a wide range of advanced treatment procedures under the guidance of expert faculty, fulfilling the personalized needs of every patient while providing students with a conducive learning environment.
Located on the ground floor with 46 fully automated dental chairs and an adequate patient flow, the department ensures ample space for quality patient care, enriching clinical exposure, and enhancing the skills of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

To be a centre of excellence in Prosthodontic education, research, and patient care, dedicated to restoring oral function, esthetics, and quality of life through advanced prosthodontic and implant therapies.
MISSION
To provide high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate education in Prosthodontics, Crown & Bridge, Implant Prosthodontics, and Maxillofacial Prosthetics using modern teaching methodologies. To train students in comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical management of patients requiring prosthodontic rehabilitation. To deliver ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered prosthodontic care including removable, fixed, implant-supported, and maxillofacial prostheses. To promote research and innovation in prosthodontics, dental materials, and digital dentistry. To enhance esthetic and functional rehabilitation through interdisciplinary collaboration with other dental and medical specialties. To contribute to community oral health by providing prosthodontic care and awareness programs for partially and completely edentulous patients. To encourage lifelong learning, professional ethics, and continuous skill development among students and faculty.

CERAMIC LAB TECHNICIAN
PRE CLINICAL LAB
Our newly renovated Preclinical Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility designed to accommodate up to 100 students, providing an ideal environment for developing essential clinical skills. The lab is thoughtfully structured with clearly defined separate dry and wet working areas, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to hygiene protocols. Equipped with modern audio-visual aids, the facility enhances interactive learning and allows students to clearly understand demonstrations and procedures. This advanced setup fosters hands-on training, precision, and confidence, enabling students to build a strong foundation before transitioning to clinical practice.
UG Clinic Facilities
The Undergraduate Dental Clinic is a well-planned, spacious, and fully functional clinical facility equipped with 34 modern dental chairs. The clinic features a well-ventilated and well-illuminated clinical area, ensuring a comfortable environment for both patients and students. A separate designated work area for undergraduate students facilitates efficient clinical training. The clinic also includes a dedicated sterilization room that adheres to strict infection control protocols. In addition, staff rooms for Senior Lecturers and Readers are provided for academic support and supervision, along with a separate store room for systematic storage of instruments and materials.
PG Clinic Facilities
The Postgraduate Dental Clinic is a well-equipped, air-conditioned clinical facility designed to support advanced dental education and specialized patient care. The clinic is furnished with 12 dental chairs and provides a comfortable, controlled clinical environment. A separate sterilization room ensures strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols, while a dedicated store room facilitates organized storage of materials and instruments. The clinic features separate cabins for postgraduate students, a well-maintained PG work area, and a PG library to promote academic excellence and clinical learning. A PG common room is available for discussion and relaxation. Specialized services are supported through a dedicated Geriatric Clinic, catering to the oral health needs of elderly patients. The facility also includes an exclusive HOD cabin for administrative and academic supervision, ensuring efficient functioning of the department.

SERVICE PROVIDED
The Department of Prosthodontics, Crown and Bridge is dedicated to the restoration and replacement of missing or damaged teeth, aiming to improve function, aesthetics, and overall oral health. The department offers a comprehensive range of services including fixed prosthodontics such as metal, ceramic, and zirconia crowns, bridges, full mouth rehabilitation, and smile designing with crowns and veneers; removable prosthodontics including complete dentures, removable partial dentures, flexible dentures, and implant-supported overdentures; implant prosthodontics for single tooth replacement, full arch rehabilitation, and advanced solutions like All-on-4 and All-on-6 prostheses; maxillofacial prosthetics for patients with facial defects, including obturators and facial prostheses; aesthetic dentistry procedures such as veneers, laminates, and tooth-colored restorations; post and core procedures for endodontically treated teeth; as well as management of temporomandibular joint disorders using occlusal splints and night guards. The department also provides preventive and maintenance care including denture repair, relining, and prosthesis maintenance, with a strong emphasis on patient comfort, precision, and high-quality treatment outcomes.
